Hodgdon Lady Hawks Remain Perfect

    Two Class D girls powers met tonight in Fort Fairfield, when the Tigers hosted the Hodgdon Lady Hawks. Both teams came into the game with perfect records. Something had to give. Fans were treated to a great game, with Hodgdon managing to hold off a furious Tiger comeback and escaping with a 50 - 47 win. Hodgdon jumped out to a quick 9-2 lead but Fort managed to comeback and close the gap to 23 - 21 at halftime. Hodgdon scored the first 6 points of the third period to extend their lead and at one time opened it up to a 12 point lead.

 Fort Fairfield managed to claw their way all the way back to within a point twice in the final minute, but the Lady Hawks manage to hold on. Once again Hodgdon was paced by the strong inside game of Senior Erin Foster, who finished with a game high 19 points and 9 rebounds to go with 5 steals. Colette Sloat added 9 for the 7-0 winners, who will face their next hurdle on Friday when they travel Southern Aroostook to take on the 8-0 Lady Warriors. Libby Gardner paced Fort with 13 points
