Southern Aroostook 54, Ashland 45

In a game heard on MAGIK 100., Audrey Charette scored eight of her 18 points in the third quarter to help undefeated Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook pull away from Ashland on the road

The host team was looking to avenge its' only loss of the season and came out on fire. Ashley Nemur was drawing much attention from the Warriors and was feeding the ball to open teammates for easy scores. Meanwhile the Lady Warriors were having a hard time getting their shots to fall.

Nemur picked up her third foul early in the second period and was forced to the bench. SA started to chip away at the lead with their press, holding Ashland scoreless for almost six minutes before Ashley Peters hit a driving lay up and was fouled on the play. The Hornets led by three at the half.

Nemur picked up her fourth foul early in the third earning a return trip to the sidelines. SA took the lead  for the first time shortly thereafter. The two teams traded scores with Angela Belskis taking control of the glass for the Hornets.

Belskis was simply unstoppable down low. She either scored or was fouled almost every time she touched the ball She ended the game 14 for 18 from the foul line to go with five hard earned inside field goals for a game high 24 points.

Once again depth played a key for SA , as they were able to put ten players in and out of the game. The "Twin Towers" Of Shanna Martin and Audrey Charette each fouled out near the end of the game for SA. Kaylea Collier played big minutes in the backcourt and Carmen McLaughlin hit a key hoop too in extended play.

Mindy Watson netted 12 points for the Warriors and Shana Martin had 11.
Ashlee Peters backed up Belskis' performance with 10 points.
