Bangor’s Connors Picks UConn

Rams Standout Will Run For The D-I Huskies

Bangor High School senior standout runner Anna Connors has made her college decision – she will attend the University of Connecticut and join the Huskies track and field team. She officially signed her Letter of Intent Saturday afternoon in front of family and friends.

Connors has been nothing short of phenomenal running for the Rams. With an indoor and outdoor senior year to go, she already is a seven time Class A state champion and holds record times in the 55M and the 200M.

She was named Maine’s Gatorade Track & Field Athlete of the Year.

Bangor track coach Alan Mosca called Connors ‘one of the most humble and kind individuals he’s ever coached as well as one of the most intense competitors”.

Connors will join a former teammate, Alyssa Elliot, at UConn.

The Huskies compete in the Division I Big East Conference. The Huskies men’s and women’s track and field teams won both indoor and outdoor conference championships in 2022.
