Welcome Chief Patrol Agent Daniel Hiebert

HOULTON, Maine (AP) — There’s a new chief patrol agent overseeing six U.S. Border Patrol stations in Maine.

Chief Patrol Agent Daniel Hiebert began his duties this week in Houlton, assuming control of the Houlton headquarters, along with stations in Calais, Fort Fairfield, Houlton, Jackman, Rangeley and Van Buren.

Hiebert has been a member of the Border Patrol Tactical Unit since 1990. Previously, he served as deputy chief patrol agent of the Border Patrol’s regional headquarters in Buffalo, New York.

During his 29-year career, Hiebert has directed and overseen the establishment of various intelligence, strategic and community programs. Before joining the U.S. Border Patrol, he served in the U.S. Army.
