25th Annual Jazz and Blues Festival (Edmundston)
June 14 - June 16
The Jazz and Blues Festival will be held on three full days this year: Friday, June
14th, and Saturday, June 15th, from 11:00am to 11:30 pm, and Sunday, June 16th, from
11am to 7pm.
To celebrate their 25th anniversary, the Jazz and Blues Festival decided to offer a
free festival to the population this year. The Festival believes that this way it will
make a bigger variety of people discover the beauty of the Jazz and Blues music.
And, to accomodate the new upcoming projects, the Jazz and Blues Festival will be
going back to the downtown Edmundston site. Because of the extent of the new
projects for the 25th anniversary, the Jazz and Blues Festival–in partnership with
Downtown Edmundston–will be held at Place Hôtel de Ville.
The biggest change this year will definitely be the addition of the ribfest to the Jazz
and Blues Festival. There will be 4 kiosks of ribbers that will sell a variety of ribs.
The festival believes that the addition of this culinary part, in partnership with
DMP BBQ, will be unique in its own way.
The Jazz and Blues Festival with Succès Jeunesse Madawaska, Inc. are in the
middle of a financial campaign with the selling of bingo-beef tickets. Tickets are
on sale at the Boucherie Begin or through people from the committee of Succes
Jeunesse Madawaska, Inc.
There’s also going to be a blitz for the selling of the bingo-beef tickets on Saturday,
May 11th at 11am at IGA in Edmundston.
