Families will gather inside the church with lighted candles and will follow Mary and Joseph as they process with other nativity characters to five stations inside the church. The journey around the church will symbolize Mary and Joseph seeking a place to stay in Bethlehem. At each station, a scripture and corresponding meditation will be read, followed by a brief prayer and a Christmas carol. The Journey will end inside the Parish Center with a celebration that includes pinatas and a potluck dinner.

Families may sign up children to read Scripture readings during the procession (Grades 5-12) or to dress up as a Nativity story character (any age).
