The weather looks great for the East Grand Adventure Race this Saturday in Danforth! Run, bike and paddle! The race is approximately 20 miles includes a 1-mile compass run, 10 miles of mountain biking and 8 miles of paddling (canoe or Kayak). mountain bike and paddle (canoe or kayak). Extra challenges that include scaling wall, mud pit crawl, log rolling, cross cut saw and tomahawk throwing. 9 Divisions, High School boys, girls, mixed, adult men, women, mixed, Jr./Sr, Family, Open (Open division can be a relay team, solo, teams of any size. In short, anything that doesn’t fit into the other divisions can compete in the open division. Family division leaves out the biking leg…great for families with younger kids and those not up for the biking leg). Awards in the student divisions include Jetboil stoves, $75 & $50 gift certificates to Ski Rack Sports of Bangor. All racer’s names entered into a drawing for a chance at a New Old Town Discovery 15’8″ canoe.
