Houlton Coffeehouse at The Cup Cafe

Houlton Coffeehouse is this weekend featuring singer and guitarist Ira Dyer. Ira is a walking jukebox of familiar hits from the sixties, seventies and eighties. He won’t even mind if you sing along in classic coffeehouse fashion. See the “brief bio” below for more background info. My favorite line from the bio is “Stylistically, he is more like James Taylor than The James Gang.” Should be a great show!
Open-mic starts at 7PM for aspiring musicians, poets and stand-up comedians. Come early to sign up and we’ll try to fit in as many performers as possible. We have a “Judy Soup” on the menu; Turkey Sausage Lasagna Soup, a twist on a comforting classic. This lasagna soup features turkey and fresh veggies, aromatic Italian seasoning, served on top of pasta and topped with Parmesan. Yummy!! And if it’s a cold night, our barista staff will be pulling shots on the espresso machine with our full line of coffee drinks to keep you warm and well caffeinated.
Santa hats and holiday attire are encouraged!
Come early for supper and hang out before the show. Cafe doors open at 5:30PM.
