International Overdose Awareness Day is August 31 and the Maliseet Behavioral Health Services department will be hosting an Overdose Awareness Day event at the Maliseet Community Center from 10AM-8PM.  The day will be filled with remembrance and awareness, to acknowledge those struggling with substance abuse, to support those in recovery, and to acknowledge the grief of the families left behind or impacted by substance abuse. There will be resources and information available, displays to honor those lost, guest speakers, a sacred fire, drumming, a candlelight vigil, a tribute walk around Clover Circle, and Narcan training.
