Welcome to SADC Flashback with Leigh Cummings, a history segment airing every Thursday at 1:20 PM, brought to you by the Southern Aroostook Development Corporation (SADC) and WHOU. This series explores the rich history of Houlton and the surrounding area.

This week, Leigh talks about the history of the Houlton Grange on Green Street.  From its beginnings in 1867 to nearly disbanding due to decreasing numbers in 1879.  By 1924, the Houlton Grange No. 16 had over 1000 members making it the largest Grange in the World.
