Looking for that homegrown, natural product? Look no further than Sunnyside FarmDrop in Linneus.
Eight small farms have combined to bring the best quality products to you through their online service.
Clare Desrosiers and her husband Joseph organized the local FarmDrop service for the Houlton area . They were committed to helping to make it easier for local foods to get to local customers.”
“We sell our chicken through a local farmdrop downstate,” Desrosiers explained. “It worked so well for us that we thought it would be ideal to set one up for the Houlton area, especially given the Covid quarantine.”
The FarmDrop market launched on July 4.
“Overall, the feedback has been positive,” Desrosiers said.
There are eight small farms offering a variety of goods within the FarmDrop, including one of the founders farms Sunnyside Farms in Linneus, which provides natural grown chicken, eggs, blueberries, raspberries, pumpkins, gourds and apples.
Wanting seasonal locally grown flowers, check out Gaddis Flower farm in Hodgdon. Want a bottle of wine from locally grown fruits, wild berries and apples, check out Hidden Spring Winery in Hodgdon. Want homemade carmel popcorn in cashew, peanut or plain, it’s Wynes Trailside Popcorn.
Hankering some fresh grown produce, check out J.M. Farms of Presque Isle. They have micro-greens and Six-point farm in Linneus has organically grown foods and value added food products.
For locally grown all natural meat without growth hormones or antibiotics, check out Scott Farms of Linneus which has beef and sheep and Crane Farms of Hodgdon who is selling pork products. It is super easy to get fresh products from local farmers and produce online with the FarmDrop service. You go online to https://sunnyside.farmdrop.us and order what you need, pay and then pickup your harvested order each Thursday between 3 and 7 p.m. at Sunnyside Farm, 406 New Limerick Road, Linneus.
