Donovan Is MWBCA Rookie of the Year

Island Falls Native Is Top Frosh In Maine

 

The Maine Women’s Basketball Women’s Coaches Association (MWBCA) has selected Bailey Donovan as the Rookie of the Year while Bowdoin’s Maddie Hasson and Adrienne Shibles also pick up major awards.

Hasson is Player of the Year and Shibles is Coach of the Year.

Donovan is a freshman center from Island Falls. She had an outstanding high school career at Hampden Academy keeps getting honors for her play at Husson University.

Donovan shot 65.3% field goal percentage (second best in the nation, D-III), averaging 14.5 PPG and 10 RPG. She was a 10-time winner of the MWBCA Rookie of the Week. Donovan was also North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Year for the 19-9 Eagles.
