Mattanawcook Academy senior quarterback Isaac Hainer has been picked as one of 10 semifinalists for the prestigious James. J. Fitzpatrick Trophy. The award honors the top senior high school football player each year.
Hainer is one of two semifinalists from eight-man football. The other is Shea Ferrell, a running back from Mt. Ararat HS. The other eight players on the list are from 11-man football teams.
Hainer won the Little Ten Conference Player of the Year Award after rushing for over 2,000 yards and scoring over 200 points for the Lynx.
The 2022 Ftizy Award will be announced at a banquet in Portland on January 15th.
