Hogan Tire presents cross-country team with new pullovers

NEW PULLOVERS – Hogan Tire presents the Houlton/GHCA cross-country team with new pullovers. Sporting their new look are, left to right, Coach Chris Rines, Dani Espenspheid, Joelle Hanscom, Natalie Johnson, Teanne Ewings, Tori Ervin, Andrea Ross, Leanne Ross, Stephanie Tuttle, Phil Espenscheid, James Brady, Colton Simoes and Bill Higgins of Hogan Tire Company. Absent from the photo are coaches Will Janakis, Ellen Dyer and Angela Ewings, as well as athletes McKenna Phillips, Amelia Drake, Calli Sylvia, Jack Philbrook, Kristian Kellerhals, Ethan Casale and Trey Belyea.

Coaches and athletes of the Houlton High School/Greater Houlton Christian Academy Cross Country team were presented with team pullovers commemorating their accomplishments during the recent 2022 Cross Country Season. The individual pullovers listed each athlete’s achievements on the back side.

Head Coach Chris Rines told team members that “they should all be proud of the results the team achieved and to use it as a stepping stone for success in the future.”

The Girl’s team claimed the Aroostook League championship, PVC Small Schools Runner-Up, Northern Maine Class C Runner-Up, and Maine Class C Runnerup Championships. Two of the runners, Teanne Ewings and Natalie Johnson, also qualified for the New England Cross Country Championships held in Rhode Island.

Hogan Tire owner Bill Higgins added, “It’s an honor for our company to recognize all the athletes and their dedication to excellence. These young men and ladies proved how teamwork and faith in each other work to achieve positive results.”
