Houlton Police Department Promotes Officer Wyatt Foster to Corporal

On Tuesday, May 02 2023, Officer Wyatt Foster was promoted to the rank of Corporal. Cpl. W. Foster has been a member of the Houlton Police Department since December of 2020 and brings experience and knowledge to the new position. Cpl. W. Foster has recently been trained and assigned to the “PTO” program responsible to “field train” all new officers to ensure they meet the high performance standards of the Houlton Police Department. He will join Sgt. Smith in middle management responsibilities, each supervising shift personnel on a daily basis and taking on more assigned tasks. Cpl. W. Foster received a Bachelor’s Degree a major in Rural Public Safety Administration and a minor in Criminal Justice from the University of Maine at Fort Kent in 2020. He attended the 40th Basic Law Enforcement Training Program at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in 2021. Cpl. W. Foster is a native to this area and plans to make a career with the Houlton Police Department.

Cpl. W. Foster will be attending a variety of training to assist him with this new position. We are proud of Cpl. W. Foster as he takes on this new role and carries out the mission of the department.
