On top of his Mr. Maine Basketball Award, Hampden Academy’s Bryce Lausier has been named Maine’s Gatorade Player of the Year for 2019-20.
Lausier led the Broncos to a 20-1 record and a Class A state title. He averaged 26 PPG, almost 8 RPG, 5.5 APG and almost 2 SPG.
Off the court, Lausier is class president and has volunteered locally while maintaining an A average in the classroom
He has yet to decide on his college plans.
Along with the honor, Lausier gets to award a $1000 grant to a local of national youth sports organization of his choosing as part of Gatorade’s ‘Pass It Foward’ platform..
