Local Teams Reach Soccer Playoffs
Many of our area teams have reached the High School Soccer Playoffs. Below is a look at who and when they will play.
In Class C
The Houlton Girls finished in the top spot with a 13-1-0 record and will receive a bye to the quarterfinals. The will host the winner of the Bucksport/Calais game on Tuesday the 24th.
The Houlton Boys (7-6-1) finished in fifth place and will travel to #4 Dexter ( 7-5-2 )on Wednesday the 25th
In Class D:
The # 10 Katahdin girls ( 5-8-1) will travel to #7 Hodgdon (7-6-1)for a game on Friday at 3:30 on the boys field.
The # 12 Shead girls ( 6-7-1) will travel to #5 Central Aroostook ( 9-5-0 ) on Friday at 4 PM
The defending Champion, # 2 Ashland girls ( 13-1-0 ) will receive a bye to the quarterfinals. They will host the winner of the Katahdin/Hodgdon game on Tuesday the 24th
The # 3 Southern Aroostrook girls(12-2-0 ) will receive a bye to the quarterfinals . They will host the winner of MSSM/ Bangor Christian Game on Tuesday the 24th
On the boys side
The Hodgdon boys ( 8-4-2 ) finished #8 and will host # 9 Easton ( 7-6-1) at 1:30 on Friday The winner will travel to top ranked Bangor Christian on Wednesday, the 25th
The East Grand boys ( 6-8-0 )will be making their first playoff game in 15 seasons. They finished # 11 and will travel to Howland to take on the # 6 PCHS Howlers ( 9-3-2 ) at 2:30
The Ashland Boys finished # 12 , with a 6-6-2 record. That earned them a trip down east to take on the fifth ranked Jonesport-Beals team, ( 11-2-1 ) at 2 pm
The Central Aroostook boys finished in the # 2 spot with their 13-1-0 record and will host the winner of the Madawaska / MSSM pre lim on Wednesday the 25th on a quarterfinal game.
