McCarthy Breaks Labor Day Roadrace Record

Old Town Runner Wins For A Record 8th Time

Make it a record-breaking 8th win for Old Town runner Erik McCarthy at the annual Bangor Labor Day 5-Mile Roadrace.

70 runners competed through the streets of Bangor and the early morning Labor Day rain showers and McCarthy’s time of 25:51 best second place finisher Judson Cake by over two and a half minutes.

McCarthy now has won the race nine time in the 58-year history of the race

Andrea Oldenburg was the top female finisher with a time of 35:41.
