MIBL Debuts Today on

New Summer Baseball League Begins Play

With no Legion, Senior Little League or Babe Ruth baseball around this summer, the newly formed Maine Independent Baseball League is filling a void around eastern Maine.

The MIBL is a 10-team junior division for age 17 & under and a 10-team senior division for age 19 & under. In total, the summer league is giving about 280 kids a chance to play some baseball. Teams will play 14 game schedules in July with a playoff week planned for early August.. will video live stream selected games throughout July and it starts today with a 5pm matchup featuring Motor City vs Riverjacks 19U teams. Following live play-by-play coverage, MIBL league director Scott Cournoyer will be a guest on ‘This Week with Dale Duff’ on at 7pm.
