- Dale Duff Reporting ([email protected])
With no Legion, Senior Little League or Babe Ruth baseball around this summer, the newly formed Maine Independent Baseball League is filling a void around eastern Maine.
The MIBL is a 10-team junior division for age 17 & under and a 10-team senior division for age 19 & under. In total, the summer league is giving about 280 kids a chance to play some baseball. Teams will play 14 game schedules in July with a playoff week planned for early August..
WHOU.live will video live stream selected games throughout July and it starts today with a 5pm matchup featuring Motor City vs Riverjacks 19U teams. Following live play-by-play coverage, MIBL league director Scott Cournoyer will be a guest on ‘This Week with Dale Duff’ on WHOU.live at 7pm.
