Hampden, Brewer Hire Football Coaches

Logan, Flagg Join Head Coach Ranks

Brewer High School and Hampden Academy have chosen their new varsity football coaches.

The Witches have promoted assistant coach Scott Flagg to lead their program. The Broncos have named Andrew Logan to head their program.

Flagg was an assistant football coach in Hampden for four years and then head coach in 2015. He returned to teach at his alma mater in Brewer and has been an assistant coach in football, basketball and tennis.

He replaces Nick Arthurs, who stepped down as coach earlier in the year.

At Hampden, Logan takes over from Shane Rogers, who stepped down after three seasons. Logan played high school football at Bangor and then played at Husson University. He is a teacher and athletic director at Reeds Brook Middle School in Hampden.

Under the new classification in high school football this fall, the Broncos will play in Class C North.
