In an exciting high school soccer matchup this past Friday, the Penobscot Valley High School Howlers claimed a 3-1 victory over the Hodgdon Hawks. The game was a display of determination and skill from both teams, with plenty of action on the field.
The Howlers got on the scoreboard with goals from Drouvin Brochu, Scott Lane, and Max Hamel, each showcasing their offensive prowess. The Hawks answered back with a goal by Kody Richardson, who found the net with an assist from Michael Fitzpatrick, highlighting the team’s teamwork and effort.
PVHS keeper Ryan Dawson was a standout in the game, making an impressive 12 saves on 12 shots, effectively shutting down multiple scoring opportunities for Hodgdon. On the other side, Hodgdon’s keeper Derek Golding faced a challenging onslaught with 11 shots on goal and managed to turn away four of them, demonstrating his resilience and focus.
