The County Federal Credit Union Breaking Ground a New Branch in Mars Hill

The County Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the ground breaking of a new full service
branch in Mars Hill on Friday October 18, 2019 at 8:00am at One Benjamin Street.

“We’ve been looking for the opportunity to expand within our current field of membership and the
Mars Hill community has the best opportunity on the Route 1–Route 1A corridor”, said Ryan
Ellsworth, President and CEO. “Once we heard a convenient location at the corner of Route 1 and
Route 1A intersection was going to be available, we knew it would be a great location for our new
branch. After taking the summer to plan and consider various options for the building, we have
decided on a design that fits our needs.” The former Mars Hill One Stop building was torn down and
the land will be prepared for construction. The ground preparation and construction of a 1375 square
foot building at One Benjamin Street will begin immediately with concrete being poured the week of
October 21 st , with a planned opening in early summer of 2020.

“Currently we have over 1,000 members in Mars Hill and its bordering communities. We see great
potential for growth in that area of the county and we are optimistic that area residents and business
owners will allow us to help them meet their financial goals. New members will experience ‘Our
Member Promise’ which promotes the values we live by: to always work in the best interest of our
members; to simplify their financial life; to make it easy to do business with us; and to partner with
members so they can achieve their financial success,” stated Ellsworth. “We deeply value our
members and are extremely grateful that they continue to place their trust in us. We are looking
forward to being an active member of the Mars Hill community and welcome the opportunities the
new branch will present.”
